ABOUT

The Sons of Pericles is an international brotherhood dedicated to thepreservation of Hellenism. In addition, the Order espouses philanthropy, civicresponsibility, athletics, education and individual excellence. Entering into a new era of a connected world we must preserve these values which the Sons of Pericles stands for as well as use the tools before us to continue the brotherhood. Our commitement to our country, both The United States of America and Greece will not fade. We have taken it upon ourselves to make it our duty in helping out our community.

Athletics at a Glance

In the next few upcoming months we will be hosting a Son's Pericles Basketball Tournament. This will be open to any and all of the GOYA church basketball teams, and more. There will be two age groups. A 14-18 division and an 18-27 division; However, if you are 18 you may only pick one division as every person regaurdless of age will only be allowed to play on 1 team.

Sons of Pericles Chapter 53

As part of a growing sons of pericles philanthropy plays a very big role. We hope that through our works and how much we are able to give back to the community, that this will help us grow within our fraternaty.

Recently we spent a Saturday helping out with the Parks Department for the town of Crown Point Indiana. We spent the day cleaning up and remulching a lot of the play areas for the children, in order to make these parks a better place.

We will be restoring the athletic facilities at the St. Iakavos Retreat center in the up comming month. This includes deweeding and re surfacing the vollyball court. Replacing the tennis nets and basketball nets, and any other maintaince we are able to manage. We hope to give the facility a much needed clean so we can have more people from the metroplis attend and see the real beauty of this retreat center.

These ideals comprise the goals that every member of the Sons of Pericles strives to achieve.Every organization has a purpose, and the Order of the Sons of Pericles is no different. As an organization, we have described the aims and objectives of the Sons of Pericles in our Constitution.
